As with any jewelry, care should be taken not to have your cork jewelry come in contact with chemicals, oils, perfumes, or other sprays. These items can discolor the cork.

Unique to cork - you should not allow cork jewelry to get wet. Natural cork fabric has the tendency to curl when wet. Your cork earrings have been treated with a fabric stiffener, and pressed flat. If they begin to curl over time, they can be easily pressed between layers of thin fabric using a warm iron.
